Les Pascals Patisserie et Boulangerie sits quietly on Arnold Drive in Glen Ellen, offering a cozy snapshot of authentic French bakery life tucked into Sonoma Valley’s relaxed pace. This café and bakery is less about rushing through a quick coffee and more about lingering over thoughtfully baked pastries and savory bites, making it a natural spot for locals and visitors looking to savor a genuine European-style start to their day.

The vibe inside is comfortably bustling without ever feeling crowded—there’s a steady flow of regulars chatting in a mix of English and French, confirming its authenticity. It’s the kind of place where you might overhear French spoken behind the counter, adding to the sense you're stepping into a small Parisian neighborhood spot. Both indoor seating and casual outdoor options suit mornings spent with a book or catching up with friends.

What stands out most here are the pastries and savory offerings that rotate with friendly daily specials. The croissants—especially the almond and almond chocolate versions—are flaky and buttery with subtle layers of richness that feel worth the momentary wait in line. The ham and cheese croissants, along with quiches like the spinach and bacon or classic quiche Lorraine, provide substantial bites for brunch or lunch. On cooler days, the French onion soup is a comforting choice alongside a rich café latte or double espresso, which locals seem to count on as part of their routine.

This café’s coffee holds its own balance of smoothness and depth, pairing seamlessly with tarts and meringues when you want something sweet but not over the top. The lemon tart with raspberry and fruit tarts offer a fresh contrast to the richer baked items, bringing a bit of seasonal brightness into each visit.

Visitors who appreciate a slower paced café experience where the quality of each ingredient shines will find plenty to enjoy here. The best time to drop in is mid-morning or just before lunch when the assortment is freshest and the crowd is a pleasant mix of neighbors, travelers exploring Glen Ellen, and those grabbing a bite after nearby hikes or wine tastings. The bakery also provides catering to local vineyards, like Benziger, which ties it firmly into the community’s food and wine culture.

In summary, Les Pascals feels like a place shaped by tradition and the local rhythm of Sonoma Valley life—ideal for anyone who wants to pause over authentic French pastries, solid coffee, and a friendly atmosphere that invites you to stay a little longer.

When your in the area, this is a must! French Cafe, with true French bakery cuisine! You will want to try everything on the menu, Lord of daily specials and the coffee is too did for! Definitely the place all the locals go to, and truly a local shop worth supporting! My only regret is not discovering this bakery on our first day of our visit, it truly would have been our morning routine! Easily walkable!

A must if you visit Glen Ellen…a true French patisserie. You’ll be greeted in English, but French conversations behind the counter will affirm the authenticity! I had a great spinach and bacon quiche and my husband a ham and cheese croissant. Well worth the line you will be waiting in…they are popular for a reason! And to top off our trip, we discovered they provide the brunch for Benziger’s Chardonnay brunch tasting, which was also fabulous!

Amazing French pastries. Highly recommend. Recommend the croque monsieur and the ham and cheese sandwich. They also have a bunch of French goodies like jams and candies.

One of my favorite French cafes to visit while in the Sonoma Valley and especially while you’re in Glen Ellen! You’re greeted by the French owner who is so sweet! They have amazing pastries, quiche, ham and cheese croissants, madame croquette, almond and chocolate croissants, baguettes, you name it! And you have to get a nice latte while you’re there as well. Filled with people with both indoor and outdoor seating. They have a parking lot in the back. You can even order your food and heat it up at home and it will still taste SO good! A must before or after wine tasting while in the area!

I cannot believe I’ve not written a review yet for Les Pascals. This is one of my favorite bakery cafés in the area. We went today after a hike, so we were famished. I always want to order everything off the menu, but I ended up getting their veggie quiche, the chai latte and a chocolate meringue. Everything was scrumptious my friend had the French onion soup and onion-mushroom baked thingy and a lemon tart. It was her first time coming here and she absolutely loved it. The owners are so sweet and I love it when they speak French. Cozy and inviting inside and outside is a lovely patio to dine.

Les Pascals Patisserie et Boulangerie is outstanding. I have been there many times right at six in the morning for an early Americano. Excellent French pastries, quiche, and coffee, all served in a comfortable patio setting. A remarkable breakfast spot for such a small town.

When you walk in you gotta say " bonjour ", because this place is owned and run by 2 of the nicest French chefs we have ever met. They make everything fresh and just like you were in Paris. Yes all the patisserie's & coffee & sandwiches & baguette's are awesome. We love to go here early in the morning for a cup of there delicious coffee or chai latte and some patisserie's. We also will come back in the afternoon to get several of there sandwiches to eat for lunc and many extra ones, plus many baguettes to take home for later. Once you stop here you will always to back for more. Dont forget to say hi to the owners, they are so lovely.
